The Ayaz Lab was pleased to host Prof. Hidenobu Yajima and Dr. Shu Horie from the University of Tsukuba (Japan) for a research visit and discussion on advanced methods in near-infrared bioimaging.

Prof. Yajima, from the Center for Computational Sciences, University of Tsukuba, delivered a presentation titled:

“Radiative Transfer Simulations and Machine Learning for Near-Infrared Bioimaging”.

His talk highlighted exciting opportunities at the intersection of computational modeling, optical imaging, and AI/ML approaches for biomedical applications.

We were also glad to welcome Dr. Shu Horie (University of Tsukuba) as part of the visit. The visit provided a valuable opportunity for scientific exchange and discussion around shared interests in neuroimaging, computational methods, and translational bioimaging technologies.

We thank Prof. Yajima and Dr. Horie for visiting Drexel and for the stimulating presentation and conversations. We look forward to continued dialogue and future opportunities for collaboration.
