Shawn Joshi, an MD/PhD dual degree candidate at our lab, completed his PhD defense successfully. Throughout his PhD work, Shawn has been recognized extensively in multiple ways, culminating in two highly ambitious and illustrious scholarships (Fulbright US-UK All Disciplines Award and NIH-F30 Award) along with a unique title of Human Robot Interaction Pioneer (2020). As a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, Shawn is frequently asked to advise returning volunteers on their path towards medicine/a career in science.
